Pours black into a snifter. Mocha head with medium retention recedes to mottle surface. Sweet dark caramel, licorice, soy and pumpernickel aromas. Thick with licorice, dark chocolate and espresso front to back. Sweet lasting chocolate fudge frosting and earthy toasted pumpernickel finish.

16 oz. can. Aroma is cocoa, semi sweet chocolate and ale yeast. Flavor is the same with an addition of a very mild rye bourbon in the finish. Alcohol is restrained and only noticed with a mild warming after the sip. The rye provides balance.

Can from the Packie. Inky black in color with a thin but long lasting frothy tan head. Big chocolate with light roast and a hint of spicy rye and oak tannin. A little sweet and sticky, but really tasty.
