Our friends from Little House Brewing came over to brew a beer that emulates Chips, Spicy Mango Salsa, and Margaritas. Little House supplied the chips, and Tox brought the dip, and together we made the drink. A kettle soured ale made with Tortilla Chips, Mango, Hot Peppers, Key Lime, Lime Zest, and a touch of Sea Salt. It achieves an evolving balance between all the flavors, especially as it warms.

Can with a code, but can't make a date out of it. Drunk 8/11/26.
Hmm, that's different, as expected. Smells salty and with some heat to it. I'd say I actually smell a corn-like character but maybe that's just suggestive. It doesn't smell off-putting, sweet, artificial, at least. There's a soft, round fruitiness on the very front that is interesting and keeps it from being too weird. Not excessively acidic in the nose.
Yep. Chips & Dip. For better or worse, they did it. From the salt, to the lime, to the heat and the corn, they nailed it. Just missing tomato, but I'm pretty ok with them skipping that. Soft texture with an easygoing, fuzzy acidity from culture and pepper. Fruity mango and lime lingering. I LOVE that they didn't skimp on the Scovilles here. I could actually see drinking this colder, with Mexican food, outside on a hot day. But otherwise, it's no more than a well-done pastry sour, so it's hard to get too excited about it.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: chill haze mango orangey color with a quickly dissipating head which didn't leave any lace
Aroma: smells like mango salsa with a peppery/spicy heat to it and a super light touch of lime zest
Flavor: basically the same as the aroma - sweet, spicy and a subtle nick of salty savoriness; finishes somewhat spicy with mango-ish sweet tones
Texture: light to medium bodied - maybe a touch closer to medium bodied; between being a sipper and sessionable as the spice seems to pummel any saltiness or zesty character that could have enacted some "drying effects," or any tart or sour qualities on the tongue; good carb level
Overall: though I may have not seen much sour and/or tart qualities to this beer but it's brewed well enough to possibly be a "spiced beer" instead and that is why I would return to this beer.

This beer is a cloudy apricot color with a thin white head that burns away quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lace. Aroma of citrus, peppers and malt. Medium body with flavors of lime, hops, malt and subtle chili pepper. The finish is citrusy and peppery with a lime and doughy yeast aftertaste. Above average overall.

Can (4/2/24) from Manchester Wine and Liquors. Opaque cross between orange juice and apple cider, fizzy ephemeral head, light sparkle, no lacing. Aroma is tart fruit, lime, mango, corn. Taste is strong lime, mango over corn chip, touch of salt. Smooth texture, average-to-lively carbonation, plentiful pepper heat, mostly lime finish. A sour I can get behind! Tartness doesn't steal the show and they execute well to deliver what they were aiming for. Good after almost a year old!

4 oz draft at Little House. It looks like orange juice. It smells like a tortilla chip and the flavor is definitely mango salsa with salt and slight pepper heat. Shows lime without question! That is different! Honestly, very unique.
