Handpull cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Purplish black/brown with a small ring of khaki head. Malty scent with chocolate and hazelnut notes.sweet taste with just a touch of balancing bitterness toward the finish. Aftertaste has a vegetal note to it, and the body is thin. It's okay.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at Tewkesbury Winter Beer Festival 3/2/2017. Near black in colour, with a slight, beige, head. Aroma of plain chocolate and a touch toasted malt. Flavour was sweetish, with more chocolate, some berries and a gentle finish. A good mild.
