[ As Abstract Jungle Jackal ].
ABV: 4.2%. Clear dark brown colour with a small, frothy - fizzy and open, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, roasted, caramel, sweet malt, light chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, dark malt, roasted, sweet malt, caramel. Body is medium to light, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20171014]

On cask at Barrow Hill Rail Ale Festival 2017 - Deep mahogany body, lacing tan head..Nose is rich and smokey, lots of toast and coffee. Good mouthfeel, rich lasting taste and bitter finish.

Cask @ Calans, Hebden Bridge. Extremely dark and reddish-brown with a thin head. Has roasted malts in its nose with a sweetness, with mainly sweetened dark malts in taste.

Cask at the 22nd Egham Beer Festival. Mahogany with an attractive cherry red gleam, and a loose cream head; aroma of well done toast with some red fruit; sweet fruity taste to start, then becoming increasingly bitter from the well roasted malts; leading to a dry finish with some spicy English hops. Rather good.
