Bottle. Pours a pitch black hue with a medium brown head that dies down. A smoky chocolate nose. Rich chocolate, initially strong bitter cedar, but it later dominates with chocolate, coffee, vanilla. Slick palate. Ashy.

Bottle. Pours opaque black, small tan head, decent lacing. Aroma is huge bourbon with some cedar notes, cocoa, vanilla, oak. Flavor is fairly sweet, light plus bitter. Well integrated and blended. Nice use of cedar. Full body.

Bottle pour from Catador Club via Chalumeaux--thanks, TJ! It's an opaque black with no sparkle, finger-width light brown head fading to a ring and no lacing. Aroma is strong cedar, black pepper with subtle rich, sweet base stout and bourbon underneath--more aroma as it warms. Taste is strong cedar and pepper over bourbon, chocolate and earthy roasted malt and mild fruit. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, silky texture, soft carbonation, no alcohol, and more balanced finish than taste. Overall, they got what they were looking for with the cigar experience but a bit too cedar for me (though closer to balanced than other cedar offerings I've had). Well crafted but not my style.

750 ml from TJ through the Catador Club. Aroma shows moderate bourbon, wood (that gives a pepper hint) and mild chocolate. Flavor is a spot on rendition of the aroma. The finish is moderate cedar that gives me that black pepper note. Body is full and rich with no alcohol burn.

5/22/19 aroma is charred wood, chocolate, ash. Taste is creamy, nice integration of bourbon and cedar. Abv is totally hidden. This is really nice.
