Can (4/5/21) pour from trade with Johnnnniee via The Packie--thanks, John! It's a lightly hazy cola-mahogany with nice sparkle, fizzy, finger-width head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is toasted/slightly burnt malts, brown bread. Taste is strong brown bread, earth. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, enjoyable but the modern twist makes it more sweet and less dry than a standard Baltic Porter. Still like it but it trends more toward brown ale.

16 oz. can. Aroma is lightly smoky with molasses. Flavor is pretty good. Molasses, charred grains, caramelized sugar, and chocolate notes. The body is about right for the style. (Seems a bit thin to me but I drink a lot of imperial styles). Alcohol is hidden. Good brew.
