Bottle. Pours clear chestnut, medium creamy tan head, nice lacing. Aroma is malty, bourbon, vanilla, bock, wheat. Flavor is merlin sweet, light plus bitter. Merlin body. Lingering slightly metallic aftertaste

Sweet smooth, date, fig, toffee, oak, light barrel.

500 ml pick up by TJ from the Catador Club. Aroma has a bolder bourbon characteristic. Flavor has raisin, molasses, spicy hints, and then the bourbon hits the mouth. Thinner body, moderate carbonation. Bourbon is here even after 20 months.

Bottle pour courtesy of Chalumeaux via AirForceHops--thanks, guys! It's a clear dark, dark brown with light sparkle, nice viscosity, thin cap of beige head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong bourbon over base wheat, caramel, earth. Taste is well balanced bourbon, caramel, wheat, late dark fruit. Mouthfeel is light bodied with thin texture, nice alcohol warmth, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, nice to have a style I haven't had much of. Bourbon dominates the aroma (not in a bad way) but shares center stage more in the flavor.

Cloudy dark brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, toasted - roasted, dark malt, moderate heavy yeasty, weizen yeast - weizenbock yeast, barrel, banana, dried fruit, fruity yeast, fatty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, caramel, weizen yeast, banana, dried fruit, candy, dark malt, wheat, yeast - estery.
