Clockwork Mandarina New England Pale Ale is a lower alcohol version of a New England IPA with a more present maltiness, despite the 3 pounds of hops per barrel.

Aromas of tangerine citrus and grapefruit peel are followed by a hint of sweetness as the flavors hit your tongue.

Clockwork Mandarina New England Pale Ale has a fluffy mouthfeel with a light bitterness and a malty, cereal finish. The triple dry-hopped symphony of flavors, textures and aromas are an Ode to Joy.

Style: New England Style Pale Ale

Brewery draught, 12/5/25, as pictured.
Bright and hoppy with fresh, fruity and citrusy hops with a touch of pine and grass. Cracker and light honey-like malt gently balances. Yeast is fruity but not too heavily estery. Just a real fresh, bright, highly aromatic hoppiness to it.
Same in flavor. Good medium, malty body with good attenuation and fruity, brightly citrusy hops with balanced bitterness and a clean finish. Usually hate Mandarina Bavaria hops, but they are done tastefully here (not overboiled).

5 oz. draft. Flavor has some popping grapefruit, soft pineapple, soft flowers. Ends on light citrus peel bitterness. Refreshing and crisp.

Pours a slightly hazy amber from a can, rather light aroma is nondescript. Nearly insipid, a faint bitterness. Good beer insofar as it’s not offensive, just nothing outstanding.

Can from the Packie, Hazy lemon orange with some huge carbonation. Orange grapefruit earthy grassy light smokiness. Not bad, but I get a weird flavor from every Mandarina beer I've tried.

Can (4/10/20) pour from Greg & Jane's Beer and Wine. Appearance is cloudy yellow with no sparkle, finger-width foamy white head with fair retention and trace lacing. Aroma is sweet and tart citrus, melon. Taste is mild lemon and orange dominated by bitter counterbalance, background cracker. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with thin, frothy texture, soft carbonation and not-very-flavorful, mostly bitter finish. Overall, when I saw the hops I was excited for a juicy, citrusy bomb! Expectations were muted when I saw it was not advertised as a NEIPA. Not sure how they squelched the vibrancy of each of these hops--let alone together--and came up with a bitter-dominant but disappointing.

Pours murky pale gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Caramel and mango aromas. Soft with caramel, mango and passion fruit front to back.
