Can (7/20/20) pour from The Beer Store, Nashua. Appearance is turbid, opaque dark yellow-light brown with no sparkle, finger-plus width white foamy head with good retention and light leggy lacing. Aroma is strong sweet grapefruit, citrus and pine. Taste mirrors aroma. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with thick, slightly grainy texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, should be a NEIPA--look is spot on, nice thick, chewy mouthfeel and good strength and decent complexity to aroma and taste.

Very hazy golden, light copper and straw coloured body with a glimmer of orange and raw honey coloured tints, all with a dense, three centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of grass, grapefruit, oranges, resin, alcohol, light pine, cleanser and a good deal of sweetness noticeable. Medium-bodied; Very rich syrupy and sweet orange flavour at first that also has a lot of rich, dense malts that provide a very nice balance and end with a lot of sweetness and a soft, but still noticeable cleanser-like astringency and bitterness that shows towards the end. Aftertaste is rich, malty, fruity, orange-y, resinous, slightly syrupy and sweet with a subtle bitterness from all the hops on the end - quite nice throughout with some great complexity. Overall, a nice New England IPA with a lot of flavours, a rich profile, proper balance and a sweet/resinous and bitter hop note that hits all the marks nicely. Great to sample fresh and worth trying to find, especially if you like the style! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 28-August-2020 for US$4,94 sampled at my house here in Washington on 12-September-2020.
