12 oz. can. 2019 vintage. Flavor and aroma are a mirror. Sweet malts of caramel, toffee, raisins up front. Shows a mineral touch midway through mixed with mild syrupy texture. Finishes with dark fruits that again say βraisinsβ to me. ABV is hidden. This is a real nice example of the style.

Can pour from share with AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! Appearance is opaque dark orange/light brown (a bit like apple cider) with no sparkle, a few light floaties, no head, no lacing. Aroma is strong caramel. Taste is strong caramel and dark fruit, late mild grains. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, no surprises here. A good-strength, right down the middle barleywine. Taste beats aroma.

Can. A- Brown sugar, caramel, malty. A- Brown color, hazy liquid, off white head. T- Brown sugar, caramel, toffee, malty, mild bitterness. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish. O- Wow. This was a malt bomb and I don't say that lightly. Solid beer but I actually think the barrel aged version makes for a much better variant. The booze in that adds some complexity. Good but needs more flavor to get to that 4 and above mark.
