Half pint pours a pitch black, creamy tan head. Nose has coffee, malt, licorice, nutty, toast. All that you want. Flavor has all of that, malt, cocoa, nuts, coffee, mocha. Finishes basically full bodied. 8 4 8 4 14

Can pour in trade with AirForceHops--thanks, Chris. Appearance is opaque black with some dark floaties, nice sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger-width foamy light brown head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is roasted malt and milder coffee, hint of earth and dark fruit. Taste follows aroma with roasted malt and milder coffee, hint of dark fruit. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with frothy texture, lively carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, not complex, coffee is relatively mild and it's overly carbonated so falls short on a number of levels for a style that should be really good.

Roasted malt, mild coffee aroma. It’s dual-dimensional, nice coffee that lingers long during the sip. Also equally nice chocolate flavor. Body is medium plus with a smooth texture. Well crafted.
