Very impossibly blue, purple and rose coloured body with a very thin, ultra-fast-dying pure white head, but the glow is beautiful shades of indigo and violet with a great look when held up to a light - very nice, despite no head at all! Aroma of blackberries (of course), tart grapes, blueberries, funk, brett, salt, brine and a light wheat note to complement the yeast and dry, fresh notes. Light-bodied; Very fresh and noticeable fruit flavours at first that show the blackberries and especially the blueberry elements. The soured qualities hit hard and fresh up front with a good tart kick, but leaves nothing right behind aside from a mellow funky note and some light sugars. Aftertaste shows the very dry, but incredibly fruity tart berry notes with a light layer of sweetness from the fructose, but also some softer coriander seed, wheat and yeast elements that make the entire sample a bit more soft and easy-drinking. Overall, a strongly fruited but relatively mild beer that has a nice profile and a good brett note with a lot of funk throughout, in a good way. Overall, a nice fruit-based tart and dry beer that has a lot of flavours, especially those that can be complex. I sampled this twelve ounce stubby bottle, purchased from Whole Foods in Fairfield, Connecticut for US$3,99 on 22-December-2019, sampled at my house here in Washington on 10-April-2020.

Bottle in a trade with tfontana, thanks Tom. Nice purple or fuchsia color. Aroma is soft blackberry, mild sour wheat. Flavor is very approachable if you want to introduce someone to the style. Soft blackberry, mild sour green, light salinity. Nice palate refresher!
