Bottle 750ml. @ Chris and Ruth's House, London. [ As Crate / Howling Hops Double IPA ].ABV: 9.6%. Unclear matt medium orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, sweet malt, dried fruit, heavy hoppy, citrus, pine, woody. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, marmalade hops, fruity hops, caramel, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Keg at Crate. It pours murky deep amber with a decent white head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, juicy, orange marmalade, candied peel, orange muffin, bubblegum and Irn Bru. The taste is bitter - sweet, bready, sticky, pine, resin, mango, stewed orange, papaya, sugary, alcohol boost, earth and wood with a sticky orange finish. Medium - full body and fine carbonation. Old - school marmalade Dipa, but good fun anyhow.
