Deep dark brown coloured body with a nice, smooth and velvety deep brown head that starts at about three centimetres tall and fades to a single centimetre layer on top of the 80 per cent opaque deep brown body - very nice looking. Aroma of rich squash with some lighter allspice and canella scents along with a dash of toasted oatmeal and plentiful malts, all ending with seemingly a big sweetness from caramelised sugars and molasses - very nice smelling as well. Medium-bodied; Big malt richness up front with a big squash bite and a good level of spices that hit up front and finish with a light kick of acidity, but the oatmeal and toasted garains are perhaps the strongest here and some light spices come out as well, pretty nicely. Aftertaste is enjoyable with a good balance throughout, with a good layer of sweetness showing up front with a lot of molasses and caramelised sugars with some raw sugar as well, but the alcohol comes out a bit at the end, however the squash and malts balance this out nicely throughout. Overall, a very nice porter that is somehow light enough at 5,0 per cent alcohol, but pungent enough in spices, malts and sugars to make this complex and rich with a good pungency throughout - great for the style and well worth trying to find, especially in season! I sampled this stubby twelve ounce bottle purchased from Glen Ro Spirit Shoppe in Monroe, Connecticut on 05-September-2022 for US$1,00! and sampled exactly a month later here in my hotel room here in Reston, Virginia on 05-October-2022.

Many thanks to Peter! High kn carbonation. Easy to drink, dark roast with pumpkin and spices in the back. Very mild. Roasted body, easy to drink. Pumpkin with roasted dry grain in the aftertaste. Great.

Pours pitch black with a thin white head. Aroma of rich chocolate malt. Taste has odd flavorings, pumpkin spice. Palate has mild hops layered over a rich malt back. Really interesting, thin.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass. Appearance is hazy dark brown with orange tint, 1 1/2-finger width light brown foamy head with fair retention and no lacing. Aroma is pumpkin spice with roasted malts, dark chocolate. Taste is very mild; smoky, slightly tart 1st half with mainly bitter and lightly pumpkin spiced 2nd half. Palate is surprisingly light bodied and watery with late lively carbonation and sudden, lightly bitter mild finish. Overall, this starts off looking and smelling pretty promising but the taste fails to deliver on the aroma and the palate is not only not right for the style but is not good for any kind of beer. Disappointing.
