16 oz. can from Bier Cellar, Portland, Maine. Pours a clear bronze color with a khaki head and good retention. Spotty lacing. Caramel malt aroma. Caramel malt flavor to match the aroma, with a slightly harsh finish. Not as malty or sweet as better Marzen beers. Medium body. Lightly bitter. Medium carbonation. Good, not great.

Pours deep hazy amber into an English pint. White head with medium retention recedes leaving scant lacing. Dark caramel aromas. Soft with sweet dark caramel, bear claw, and bitter earth front to back.

16 oz. can purchased at Spruce Creek Provisions. (Helping Spruce Creek Stay in Business since 2016). Deep copper color, thin lasting head. Aroma of toasted malts, toffee, mild indescribable fruit. The taste is mostly malt, mild fruity hint underneath. Body and mouthfeel are correct. Par for the course.
