Draft, 4 ounce sample glass at the brewery. Appearance Is used motor oil black with a thin beige head that diminishes steadily to a dense film. Aroma of roast malt, deep barley and intense chocolate. Full-bodied with flavors of roast malt, fudge and mild lingering booze. The finish has the booze but at 13% it does not come off overly harsh. It simply reminds you that it is a beast of an imperial stout that needs to be sipped. Very intense.

Draft. A- Chocolate, cream. A- Black color, black liquid, beige head. T- Chocolate, milky, slight booze, slightly roasty, subtle caramel. P- Full body, thick and creamy texture, average carbonation, slightly boozy finish. O- A big beer for sure. You feel every bit of it but at the same time it’s so easy to drink. It’s as thick as a milkshake. Naturally they use this for a base beer for some of their other stuff and I can definitely see why.
