Draught @ BBB. Pours pretty much black with a small creamy brownish beige head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty, fruity estery and slightly smokey with roasted malts, burnt caramel, cocoa powder, baked pears, glue, chlorine, smoke and moist soil. Taste is tiny sweet, bitter, fruity estery and slightly smokey. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny dry, slightly roasted astringent and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with roasted malts, bread, pears, cocoa powder, coffee, liquorice, glue, chlorine and moist soil. Bit wild on the volatile esters and chlorine. Surprisingly off for this brewer...
