Draught pour at Powder Keg Beer & Chili Festival. Appearance is nice clear, golden yellow with no sparkle, little bit of off-white head, good retention. Aroma is vegetal. Taste is strong early herb and pine, second half is more bready and makes you realize malt backbone was present throughout. Dank. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, average carbonation and dry, more bitter than malty finish. Overall, decently balanced--not as hop-forward as advertised, and didn't get the fruit and citrus aspect. Score more for balance than strong hop flavor/aroma.

Hazy Amber orange color. Small bubbly beige head. Dank, bitter citrus nose. Tart, grapefruit peel flavor upfront. Dank, piney hops are the norm here. Warming alcohol notes. Strong and complex.

Poured from can dated 4/26/17 thanks AirforceHops dark orange lots of floaties and a thin off white head. Aromas of honey papaya malt floral tones. Taste is almost cloying in the sweetness dept fruit caramel honey and some bitterness in the finish. Hard to find the balance when you boost the abv.

16 oz can. Fresh canning of 4/26/2017 purchased at Spruce Creek Provisions. Aroma is pineapple juice, papaya, and honey. The flavor follows. Unfortunately, lots of residual sweetness and sugar. The problem with big IPA’s over 8.5 % is they can become to sweet. This pretty much falls in the "overly sweet" department. Sugar gets a bit much for me to really enjoy it. If they could cut back the malt and unfermented sugar, this would be a whole different beast.

Tap at Draught 55. Deep golden colored with smaller head. Nose is fruit salad remnants left in sun after a cookout. Tastes of cantaloupe, onion, grassy, herbal and basement floor. Slick palate not too bitter or hoppy for style.
