Bottle purchased at Craft Beer Cellar, Waterbury. Consumed at cellar temperature. Perfect appearance. Thick lasting tan head with thick lacing down the snifter. Aroma is thick molasses, chocolate, ash, and mild whiskey.

The base has a lot of chocolate and molasses. Ash and mild anise makes an appearance as secondary flavors. The maple comes out yet... the whiskey I smelled in the aroma is not really found much in the flavor. Body is thick with a smooth mouthfeel. ABV is mostly hidden. All items considered, still a nice stout.

50cl bottle from Craft Beer Cellar H St pours an opaque black with some lacing, tan head. Nose has heavy dark chocolate and raisin, burnt molasses, black licorice, burnt toast, toasted wood shavings. Flavor is thick with dark chocolate and molasses, a distinct black pepper/chipotle thing, some raisin/fig, finally some vanilla and bourbon. Full bodied, but smooth.

4 oz pour on draft at ChurchKey. Black with light tan head. Aromas of maple, whiskey, caramel, roast. Tastes of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, light maple, light caramel. Full body with a dry finish. Nice stuff, would like to see this in some bourbon barrels.
