500 ml bottle, thanks Willrunforbeer! Pours a very dark mahogany wood color, weak head. Aroma is burnt sugar, old prune juice, and slightly off-putting yeast.
Yeah, prune juice, burnt malt, and yeast that just isn’t sitting right on my palate. And honestly the flavor doesn’t marry very well. I have never brewed this style in my home brew days but I know for sure something is off. Not pleasant at all. I like this brewery so this review doesn’t reflect anything but this ale.

Pours deep mahogany into an English pint. Mocha head with little retention crackles and recedes to nothing. Dark caramel and pit fruit aromas. Soft with dark toffee, fig, date and prune front to back. Medium length clove finish.
