Draft at Old Chicago, Omaha, NE. Color is pitch black, thin lacing down the shaker glass. Aroma is burnt sugar, mild roast, dark chocolate and maybe coffee like tones.
The body is pretty good, fuller side of medium. The flavor is indeed sweet with lactose sugar noticeable under the chocolate and coffee grinds. Very little roasted malt, could use a tad more in that department. Sweet but not overly done. Pretty nice classic example of the style and easy to drink.

Sampled from the bottle at the St. Paul Summer Beer Fest. Pours a clear dark brown with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a sweet musty dark grain with hints of bitter chocolate and roasted malts. Flavor is similar with sweet musty dark grains and chocolate as well as a hint of roasted malts.

Bottle. A- Coffee, chocolate, roasty. A- Black color, dark liquid, tan head. T- Coffee, chocolate, bitter cocoa, roasty, slightly sweet, balanced. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty finish. O- This sweet stout has a lot of coffee flavor and lots of chocolate. Not as creamy as I would have expected it to be but the sweetness from all the sugar is definitely present.
