22 oz. bottle got in a trade with GrandaddyKC, thanks Brad! No bottle date anyplace. Pitch black in color with thin white head in a snifter. Aroma is mild whiskey on top of caramel and weak chocolate.

The flavor is caramel dominate with very weak chocolate and the lightest note of bourbon in the finish. The Medium to lighter body but about right for the style. I never would have guess that this was over 11 percent ABV which is a big plus. I think this would help with some added roasted malt to help cut the caramel overload. Still happy to have tried it.

12 oz goblet draft at Martin City Pizza and Tap in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a dark brown black with a smallish off white head. Nice lace on the glass. The aroma is a nice roast, with sweet caramel malt and the oak and wood barrel towards the back. Some Bourbon booze present as well. The taste is bright Bourbon, followed by the sweet caramel malt, the roast and finishing with vanilla oak. Alcohol is decently integrated. The palate is medium to heavy bodied with soft carbonation and a natural softness carbonation and a bright Bourbon booze finish. This is a well executed Bourbon barrel porter, fans of the style will love this one.
