Bottle a tight home in Canaan, NH - picked up at the brewery. Pours deep brown with a billowing, foamy khaki head. Effervescent. Fun aroma, a touch of oxidation, roasted malts, Belgian yeast, toasted caramel. Medium sweet flavourbwith more caramel, toffee, dried fruits, mellow roast, earth, brown bread. Medium bodied with lively, massaging carbonation. Finishes with nips of cocoa, ash, more roast, burnt toffee, leathery berries. Rather enjoyable overall.

Bottle from Kelly and Paul, Thanks Slightly hazy dark brown with faint ruby at the edges and about a half a glass of foam even with a gentle pour. Cocoa and caramel with light clove and pepper in the nose. Slightly ashy chocolate and caramel with light bits of earthy fruity clove to round it out. Not anything thats horribly complex and the body does seem a bit full for a Saison, but its pretty damn easy to drink!

Thanks to Willrunforbeer on this 12 oz. bottle. Bottled on 2015/11/04. Color shows a dark brown color with ruby highlights when held to he light, no head. Aroma is different; coffee, roasted grain, light dark fruit. Ok, ok raisins...

The flavor is close to every other "dark" saison I have ever sampled. Belgian yeast is overly spicy character mixed with roasted barley, citrus and ends on a spicy and astringent after taste. To much herbal character with the roast just doesn’t work for me. It may not be the brew, just my dislike for the hybrid style.
