Poured from a 16 oz can dated October 05, 2022. Aroma is grain forward with really nice bread and cracker notes. Slight floral and fruity eaters. Light spicy, herbal hop notes. Hints of alcohol. Pours a very clear, brilliant yellow-gold with a medium large, thick, fluffy, white head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers. Moderate lacing and faint legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with notes of bread and cracker with a nice rye spice in the finish. Moderately strong bitterness and hints of alcohol. Light spicy, herbal hop notes that linger into the finish with the rye notes. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid lager even with this age. Nice spice notes from the hops and rye. Alcohol is well hidden. Perhaps a bit bitter. Nice malt complexity with a tasty and aromatic profile.

Tap, City Beer Store. Glowing medium gold in color with a small white head that fades mostly. Looks thick and rich for a lager. Not a big smell, but it’s all clean lager yeast and rich, fresh grain. Flavor is mostly dry with grassy hop notes. The yeast flavor dominates when the beer is cold, but as it warms up, the wonderful grain flavor comes out more. Moonlight makes the best light, pale malt flavors I’ve ever tasted. The mouthfeel is relatively thick and luxurious for a pale lager. The beer drinks very cleanly, but the feel is still quite full. Very drinkable as with all of Moonlight’s beers.

On tap. Clear deep golden with an off-white head. Sweetish fruity nose and a little yeast. Medium body, caramel, yeast and phenols before a distinct bitterness. Not overly pleasant really. 090709

Draft at Sonoma Wine Exchange. Nice grassy hop aroma. Light amber color with a great white head. Medium body with very creamy carbonation. Flavor of wheat and malt - very mildly sweet. The finish is malty, but dry! There’s a decent amount of floral and/or grassy hop. This could pass for an ale. It’s also a lot more complex than I’m able to describe.
