12 oz bottle from Country Club Liquors; Nose of light chocolate, roastiness, nutiness, and a light vanilla note; clear very dark brown with rouge edges and a small beige head; flavor has chocolate, coffee, and some very light hop bitterness. Not too bad for a local brew!

Bottle. Black in color with ruby glints. Decent tan head. Thin to medium body with soft, voluminous carbonation. It tastes toasted. More sweet than bitter. Something porter like with coffee and chocolate. There’s some hop, so the finish is roughly balanced. It is not all that sweet, and the finish is reasonably dry. Perhaps too tasty for the style, but it is a very good lager.

Bottle from Park Lane Liquor in Lancaster, CA. Pours a nearly opaque dark brown color with a medium and rocky beige head that dissipates slowly. Patches of lacing on the glass. Roasted malt, nuts and coffee in the nose. Medium-bodied with a nice roasted character. Flavors of malt, nuts and coffee are present, plus some hops in the background. The finish is dry with bittersweet coffee and chocolate. Lingering hoppy aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
