22oz bomber pours with a clear gold body that supports a tall 2 minute long tan head. The aroma offers up sugary malt sweetness, some clove like spiciness and then modest notes of banana and apple. The taste is similar with sugary sweet malts and then it gets into banana, apples and some spicy clove like notes. Decent enough.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Mild citrusy hops aroma and light wheaty. Sweet wheat malty flavoured. Mild citrusy note. Medium dry and light estery flavoured finish. Rather plain brew, I guess it does well at the brewpub for those interested in smooth hefeweizen brews.

Bomber. Aromas of biscuit, citrus, and perhaps banana. Hazy orange tinged gold color with a white head that didn’t arrive. Near medium in body with fizzy/creamy carbonation. Flavor is wheat, citrus and something yeast/earthy in the background. The finish is dry, almost astringent, but not really bitter. The citrus tends to build as time goes by. It’s fairly clean. A light peppery spice crops up after awhile.

Bottled. A light golden beer with sediment floating around under a huge bubbly light orange head. The aroma is sweet wheaty combined with notes of banana and oranges. The flavor is sweet wheaty again with notes of banana, leading to a dry wheaty finish. The body is thin - and considering the 7.5% ABV, I’d say watery.

Bomber from Bottle Barn; Nose of banana esters (like a banana shake), with some caramel and yeast; cloudy yellow gold with a small pale yellow head; flavor has a bit of hop bitterness contrasting with sweet bananas and peppery spices. I like it!

(Bottle 65 cl) Hazy golden with tiny impurities and a very lively, bubbly head - the carbonation is extreme. Very fruity nose with a hint of banana. Medium body, Hubbabubba style fruit flavours - I reckon something went wrong here, that bubbly mouthfeel just can’t be right. 160607

Bottle pours a cloudy light yellow with a full white head and lots of sticky lacing. Sweet slightly sour aroma of light malts and of apples or pears. Flavor is a fuity light wheat with a littl eyeasty twang. After taste of unfilterd wheat malts and papery. Lively and fine carbonation and a lingering sourness.

Bottle. Cloudy orange amber beer with a white head. Wheat/malt aroma with a slight lemon undertone. Smooth wheat/malt flavor with some lemon and spice. Lighter bodied. Very easy drinking. Refreshing.

Draught at the brewery
Kind of straddling a very imaginary boundary between hefeweizen and weizen bock. Opaque yellowish colour with creamy white head. Beautiful hefe banana, marshmallow and icing sugar aroma. Big body - the alcohol shows through the weizen rather strongly. The base weizen flavours are of a sweet, moderately complex and relatively clean example. I’m just put off by the fact that it seems only the alcohol was ratcheted up to create this hybrid.
