64 oz. growler from the source. Dark brown black/ dark brown. Aroma is burnt barley, hints of chocolate . Flavor shows dark chocolate, roasted barely and a light earthy tone in the finish. The earthy tone is the berry but had I not known it was in here I would not have picked it out as blackberry.
The base porter is drinkable and without any kind of major flaws. Had I tasted this blind I never would have gotten berry from it. But it did possess an earthy element in the flavor. Standard medium body with a lower carbonation level. Easy to drink.

Pours black into an English pint. Mocha micro head with excellent retention recedes leaving scant sheets. Dark chocolate and mild fruit aromas. Medium to thin bodied with roasted chocolate and licorice upfront turning to mild, dry blackberry in the medium length finish.
