Reviewed from notes. Thanks Johnnnniee.
This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was basically a dark brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute leaving some messy lacing roaming around the glass.
The smell started off with a nice roast leading into sweet cocoa and slight coffee.
The taste took the previously mentioned flavors and added a rich English-esque maltiness to it. I think that helps to create a nice lingering sweet aftertaste leading into a semi-sweet wet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly good sessionability about it. Carbonation runs right for the style and for me.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good stout that I would have again.

Bottle from the brewery. Aroma is rich roasted bready malts with notes of caramel, chocolate and coffee. Appearance is opaque black with no sparkle, negligible light brown head and lacing. Taste is nice balance of moderate sweet and bitter, much like the aroma. Palate is full bodied with thick texture, enough of a carbonation backbone to support the beer but is not a defining feature. Finish is long remnant of the balanced sweet/bitter. Overall, a really nice beer. Appearance is so-so but so what? Taste is the main thing and this is highly satisfying.

What a terrible name for a brewery. Bottle shared by Bob. Full bodied stout. Moderately well roasted and what I perceived as sweet lactose. Good palate.

22 oz. bottle with a stamp of 7 Feb, 2014 on the label. Black with thin tan head. Aroma is nice. Roasted grain, chocolate, and ash.

Nothing out of the ordinary as far as the flavors go, roasted oatmeal, light coffee notes and a bit of black chocolate. Some light bitterness in the finish. Dry texture. Soft carbonation in a medium body. Solid.

Bottle from Bert’s Pours a solid black with a huge creamy tan head that persists forever before making stickies on the sides of my glass. Aromas of roasted creamed coffee, caramel and chocolate with hints of dark fruits and light earthy hop. The flavor is rich sugary chocolate and light roast with hints of caramel and brown sugar and just enough earthy hop to provide some balance. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet creamy mouthfeel. Very nice creamy silky sessionable stout right here, probably my favorite so far from the out.haus.
