Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a black color with a small foamy beige head that faded quickly but left decent lacing. The aroma was malty and a bit toasty with hints of lactose and wood. The flavor was roasty and woody with notes of smoke, lactose, a touch of vanilla and bitterness throughout. Medium length bitter and roasty finish with lingering wood and lactose. Medium body. Ok.

Nice put.gent initial aroma. Pours dark brown with little head or lacing. Slick texture. Done booze in aroma. Finishes slightly sour. On tap at coles.

Draft @ The Reservoir, Waterbury, VT. Nose is chocolate, roast and mild lactose. Flavor is good amounts of chocolate in front of the sip with light coffee and lactose sugar on the back side. Body is a tad on the thin side but not watery at all. Texture from the carbonation is slightly creamy. When I saw the tap handle with a brown bag over it I just had to try it. Overall I would call this a tad better than average for the style.
