Cask (gravity) @ 33th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2016, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England. [ As Southwark Dark Winter Ale ].Clear dark red brown colour with a average to large, frothy - fizzy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, chocolate, dark chocolate, roasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, dark chocolate, roasted, sweet malt, chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20161202] 7-4-7-3-14

Pig’s Ear Fest. Cask. Clear deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Thin malts, mildly bitter toffee. Mild floralness. Modest ripe fruits. Light semi dry finish. It’s fine with no obvious flaws.

Cask gravity at the 2016 pigs ear beer fest. A dark brown with reddy hues and a loose lasting light tan head. Aroma is brown sugars, twig, molasses, liquorice, and hints of woodland fruit. Flavour is composed of semi sweet malts, bitter harsh liquorice, burnt toffee, charred wood, dried fruit palate is light, sugary, lowish carbonation. No bad.
