Can (2/5/21) pour from Table and Vine, West Springfield. It's an opaque black (dark brown at the bottom of the glass) with light sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger-width foamy light brown head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is moderately strong roasted earthy malts with vanilla and milk chocolate. Taste is roasted malt and coffee bordering on char, tart quality (does this have lactose that's not listed? and did it go bad?). Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with thin, smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation with late lively zing and bitter roasted finish. Overall, oats add a little to the texture but not much else. Taste doesn't deliver on aroma and what's with the tart quality? A little over carbonated.

Paid $9.99 for a growler @ Table and Vine. Used a standard pint glass. Deep brown around the edges and black in the center of the liquid. Slow dissipating head that was tan in color. Pleasant nose of deep roasted barley, oats and slight chocolate. Taste is roasted, bitter chocolate, slight coffee and touches of molasses. The oats give the body medium – full, almost chewy body. Real solid and with a lower ABV easy to drink in larger amounts.

090510-on tap-pours a retaining big light brown head and black color. Aroma is dark malt-licorice/chocolate. As it warms, molasses. Taste is dark malt-molasses/chocolate/ashy, creamy/oat, some earthy hops. Interesting for style/occasional, although not my style. 3.4 *090510-Peoples Pint Oatmeal Stout–on cask-pours a tan ring for a head and black color. Aroma is dark malt-bolder than tap and alcohol and earthier. 090514-22oz bottle-pours a rich light brown head and black color. Aroma is very sweet clashing with earthy, rubbery, chocolate/molasses/ashy-dark malt, acidic. As it warms it doesn’t clash. Taste is ashy/coffee-dark malt, acidic/earthy/bitter hops, some alcohol, powdery/gritty mouth feel. Based on having at cellar temperature. 3.1

Bottle courtesy of Sammy: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a nice foamy head with some good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of dry coffee is dominating. Taste is a mix between some dry coffee with some light roasted bitter malt. Body is about average with some good carbonation. Well done apart from the fact that it might be a bit too dry.
