Bought harpoon mix pack reasonable priced and 3 ticks for me. Deep gold rather clear and smaller head for style. Nose is spicy saaz and some dough. Tastes peppery, some dough, lemon, grass, touch of sweet fruitiness. Ok body

Pours gold, big head. Aroma of herbal grass notes. Taste has grassy malt, some lingering hop oils. Palate has some pine, pretty plain otherwise. Good, light.

Bottle from Shaw's Brilliant dark straw in color with a thin bubbly bone white head that persists. Bready crackery pilsner maltiness hint of sulfur. Light floral spicy hops and a hint of green apple. Pretty decent.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a hazy straw yellow colored body with a one finger white bubbly head. The head lasts about a good thirty seconds, rapidly rising bubbles are seen rising.
The smell had the Czech Saaz (bitter and pounding) hops up front (reminding me a bit like Sam Adam’s Noble Pils). Nothing else really comes out.
The taste was a bit bready and eventually the malts and hops kick start a full flavored peppery bready taste wonderfully combined.
The palate sat about a light to medium, slightly bitter with a decent amount of carbonation coming out on the tongue.
Overall, this is a solid summer beer well worthy of having again if I lived in its distro.

12 oz. bottle. Used a lager glass. Clear gold color. High carbonation producing a ring of white head on the surface. Aroma of grain, Saaz hops and a bread / cracker note. Unfortunately the flavor is lacking. While the taste does provide what the nose is suggesting, the palate really is thin and watery. Too bad, the smell is better than the weak flavors. I’m sure the Leviathan Big Bohemian Pilsner is much better, if they still brew it. My option is to skip this one.

A hazed blonde pils with a thin white head. In aroma, a nice grassy malt with smooth floral hops, nice. In mouth, a nice crisp malt with smooth herbal hops, nice and smooth. Tasted at Raquette River Beer and Wine Fest, July 13 2012.

Pours light gold into a Sam glass. Bright white head with little retention recedes to skim surface. Sweet caramel aromas. Soft with bread and hay upfront turning to a mildly bitter earthy finish.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear gold with a medium sized creamy white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of grain and lemony citrus hops. The taste is grain, citrus and a bit of grass. Medium bodied.

From my brother: Pours a golden colour with a white head. Aroma is of of grassy hops, with a tad of a malt backbone. Taste is crisp and doesn’t have that annoying sweet aspect that some Bohemian Pilseners have. Nice amount of bitterness form the Czech hop varietals. Refreshing and in my opinion well-balanced. I think that this is under-rated.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a clear yellow-gold color with a huge foamy white head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was crisp and bitter grassy, floral and perfumey hops. The flavor was tangy, tart and perfumey with notes of Sweettart candies and artificial sugar. The finish was long, tart and bitter with lingering artificial sugar. Light body. Eh.
