750 ml corked and caged bottle from Julio’s Liquors. Been cellared for about 2 years now, bought it early in 2010, can’t remember what I paid. Brown amber color. Sizable fluffy off white head. Mild retention and no lace. Fruity nose of fresh strawberry and a touch of cherry. Perhaps light coco. Flavor is mostly fruit, apple and pears. Anise shows up during the finish. Nose is better than the flavors. This is rather enjoyable. I should have drunk it during warmer months. Not typical for style however, still decent.

Bottle thanks to Ben! Pours a hazy orange red with an off-white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a very earthy grain note with some dark chocolate and a hint of funk and spice. Flavor has a earthy grain note as well with a hint of chocolate and some fruits and spice. Quite muddled.

Pours deep mahogany into a tulip. Beige micro head with good retention leaves sheet lacing as it slowly recedes to coat surface. Sour chocolate and coriander aromas. Dusty caramel upfront with a slightly spoiled pit fruit and chocolate finish.
