Sample at GABF 10/13/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. Dark brown pour with a thin light beige head and short strings of lace. Aroma of chocolate and malt. Medium-bodied with roasted malt, chocolate and mild hops flavors. The finish is short with a sweet malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Pours mahogany with thin mocha head of foam. The aroma is earthy, roasted malts, dank wet cigar leaves and then coffee like roastiness. The taste begins with pretty much rich roasted maltiness, earthy malts and a mild level of dark roasted coffee notes. This is pretty darn smooth stuff that keeps it on the modest side in roastiness allowing other notes to be heard.

22 oz bottle $6.49 purchased @ Julio’s Liquors in Westborough, MA. Used a pint glass. Color is black with some brown hues on the edges. Nose of chocolate with roasted barley. Flavor is similar with a light coffee note when warm. It has flavors you would look for in a porter. Problem is the moutfeel is very flat. Almost no carbonation in this bottle at all. No head or lace to mention. Not a bad porter, has potential.
