Bottled in Plymouth. Somewhat dark amber pour. Malty and choppy. Pretty decent brew...

Notes from March 2011 Another throw in from the beer bandit. Bottled on 2/23/11. Unexpected, clear dark orange/amber brew into my Ommegang Anniversary glass. A mountain of lumpy cream-colored head. Blotchy lace. Smell is very green, like alfalfa pellets. Twiggy & just barely scented with sweet florals & graham crackers. Gentle pine resin, florals & earth all playing around in the taste. Dark bread crust, salt, & just a twinge of actual bitterness that lingers just a moment. A little juicy. Faint citrus. Some dank. Quite gentle. Body is a tad chalky. Carbonation is just okay. Alcohol is fine by me. Not at all thick. A dry-hopping clinic going on here. This stuff is tasty. :D

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from One Stop Market. Aroma is malty base with resin, fruit, citrus and mild pine hops. Appearance is beautifully clear amber with nice sparkle, finger width off white foamy head with fair retention and nice leggy lacing. Taste is as aroma but the elements are in conflict with one another and produce a disharmonious mix with no clear flavor direction and just a bitter feel. Palate is medium bodied with frothy texture, average to soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Overall, a beautiful look and wonderful smell--it really is all about the aroma--because it does not carry through to the taste. Much promise that falls short.

Bottle from the Lazy dog Lightly hazy red amber color with a huge frothy off white head. Big pine and resin with some citrus on the nose. Plenty of bread and caramel and just a touch of chocolate to round things out. Drinkable with an old school feel to it.

Pours an amber from the tap. Good hoppy aroma but rather falls flat in the mouth, not much going on. Okay beer.

Rcvd in trade.
The appearance was an amber/copper colored body with a one finger white foamy head that lasted about a good minute before dieing into the body. There was some nice adequate somewhat ringy lacing that clung all around.
The smell had citrusy hops up front with a nice light caramel malts ever so delicately in the background.
The taste had a super nice citrus sweet to caramel sweet that eloquently manages to lead to the same aftertaste and adds in a dry sort of caramel finish.
The palate sits about a medium on the body with a decent carbonation that is good for an American Amber/Red ale and for me.
Overall, gee weez, I wasn’t expecting this one to be as good, but it sure got a big wow from me. Way to go Mayflower. I’d trade for this again.

On draft @ Sunset Grill and Tap. Hazy amber pour with a white head and decent lacing. Nose of fresh hops and grassy notes. A very light and refreshing IPA. It isn’t something you need to seek out BUT, it is a simple, fresh IPA with a decent Hop bite in the finish. I drank it real easy and found it to be real refreshing.

Pours clear, bright mahogany into a shaker. Off-white micro head with excellent retention recedes leaving sheet lacing. Mild resin aromas. Medium-bodiec with sweet caramel upfront turning tangerine and grapefruit in the dry, lasting finish.
