Cask (gravity) @ 33th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2016, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England. [ As Pig & Porter Strangely Brown ].Clear dark brown colour with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, chocolate, dark malt, roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20161202] 7-4-7-3-13

Pig’s Ear Fest. Cask. Semi opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Light semi dry palate, modest fine carbonation. Sweetish malts, toffee - caramel. Bubblegum esters. Crystallised fruits and then a little banana. Strange old porter!

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol, October 2016. Dark brown with a slight off-white, head. Aroma of toasted malts, with some berry fruit and leafy hops. Flavour had sweetish, slightly charred, malts with a touch more fruit, brown sugar and a lingering, dryish, finish. Good.

Cask gravity at the 2016 pigs ear beer fest. A nut brown coloured pour with a lasting light tan / grey head. Aroma is liquorice, nutty malts, woodland, pine, earthy roast. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, earthy nutty malts, black liquorice, hints of spices, nutmeg details roasted malts. Palate is medium light, drying finish, little numbing on the tongue. Ok.

Cask gravity Berry Walmer. Now that is good. Thats pretty malty but lovely. Very good brown ale.
