330ml bottle [from 2015, 12.0% abv]. Jet black colour, some macropore, tan bubbles on top. Fruity yeasty, mildly funky and dark malty aroma, notes of dark chocolate, hints of cherry, plum, morello, blue grapes, a touch of Port, Marsala, sherry. Taste is dry, woody, roasty dark malty, minimally yeasty funky, slightly yeasty fruity, minimally vinous, hints of blue grapes, red wine, oak, a touch of cherry, morello, plum, marmite. Oily texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation. Not perfectly matured, no hints of rum to be honest, very nice fruity aspects, the funkiness might not be intended but doesn't do harm - better than just OK.

Bottled 330ml. -from Schneider’s Getränkemarkt Cologne. Black coloured, no head at all, rum and wood in the nose. Wood, alcohol, chocolate, dried fruits and boozy finish. One-dimensional and lack of carbonation.

0.33 l bottle from 'CraftBeer-Dealer.com', 2018 version at 14% abv, aged for three months on rum barrels from Belize. Black with just a few beige bubbles on top. Intensely sweetish, malty, gently roasty, slightly boozy and a bit fruity aroma of praline, coffee, licorice, coconut, rum, some vanilla and hints of dark fruits. Fairly sweet, malty, gently roasty, slightly boozy and a bit fruity taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, loads of rum, coconut, some vanilla and traces of dark fruits, followed by a long, quite roasty-bitter, earthy and gently boozy finish. Medium to full body, almost oily mouthfeel, nearly flat. Really intense stuff, very heavy on the rum but not as boozy as feared, so still very pleasant! However, it's not as good as the whisky variant by any means.

6 3 7 3 14Draft at Festivale der Bierkulturen, Cologne. Black with a small tan head. Aroma.. ok, I feel like I’m just getting drunk from the fumes! Big rum, woody notes, dark fruits, booze, chocolate, toffee, more booze. Flavour is heavy sweet. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Black with thin creamy head. Aroma is intense with rum and raisins. Extremely smooth and silky texture. Flavour has rum chocolates and is quite boozy in the finish.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Braustelle Black Out R ].[ Trade by Koelschtrinker ]. Clear dark brown color with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, wood, toffee, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, rum - alcohol, wood, sweet malt, tart notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20151024]

Bottle, 12%. Almost black with no head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, rum and dark fruit. Flavour is roasted malts, dark fruit, rum, sweet, warming, notes of alcohol, little sour and harsh.

Bottle @ Aarhus tasting. Black without head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, wood and rum. Flavor is very sweet, rather bitter and slightly acidic. Dry, rather bitter and slightly acidic finish. 241015
