Sampled from the bottle at ABR 2015. Pours a deep amber red with no head whatsoever. Aroma has a good amount of blueberry with sweet honey and just a hint of tartness. Flavor has tart blueberry with a good amount of sweetness and a bit of dryness in the finish.

bottle - Pours clear red-orange.It smells of honey, alcohol, and blueberry. The flavor is sweet and full of honey with a certain tartness from the fruit, but the fruit flavor is subtle. While I think I could identify it as berries without the bottle in front of me, I’m not sure I’d specifically name blueberries. It works. It’s sweet enough that it would be best with dessert and I think I’d prefer a bit drier, but it’s not cloying.

One of the highlights of the 2005 ABR. There is a huge and pleasant blueberry aroma. The mead is pink. This is very sweet with no flavor of honey at all; light blueberry and some sugar. Great for sipping. Dry finish. This is not as sweet as some meads.
