A step up from the regular ESB, with a deeper malt profile and a more lingering, pronounced bitterness. Heavy caramel and toffee at first, with a grainy sweetness that grows as the beer warms. Finishes semisweet but offers of a lasting hop bite, necessary to keep things from growing cloy.
