So cognac aging murders the normally solid Obovoid Stout. The texture is slack and flaccid, almost flat, and the beer loses its head quickly, Aroma is a non factor. Somehow the cognac makes Obovoid taste remarkably like a bad cola rather than just a bad beer. Much too boozy and sweet, any of the lovely roasted malt flavors usually present are truncated by the liquor. Maybe some more aging would help, but for now this beer is a mess.
