Tap @ Melkebaren. Almost black body under a lacing, beige head. Mild aroma of light roasted malt with a hint of chocolate. Taste is sweet, light roasted malt, dry fruit and a hint of chocolate. Medium body and average aftertaste. Decent but quite straight forward.

330 ml can, from Coop Mega Madla Handelslag. Black colour, minimal and shortlived tan head. Moderate aroma of roast malts, mild coffee and chocolate. Soft mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Medium dry flavour, hardly any sign of lactose here. Moderate roast malts, mild coffee and some chocolate again. Can't say I can detect the Belgian yeast.

Can. Close to black with a small beige head. Coffee, roasted malts, some bread and chocolate in the flavor. Medium body, soft, with gentle carbonation. Roasted malts, some dark chocolate and coffee in the flavor. Some dark dried fruit in the finish, hints of yeast. Decent, but a bit gentle. 250308

YG. Dark amber color with a beige head. Aroma and flavor is coffee, roasted malt, bread, chocolate, dried fruit. OK.

Small fizzy shortlasting head, hazy dark brown color. Aroma is dry sour-ish yeasty, soil, yeast, sour-ish roasted grain, bark, tobacco, burnt toast, ash. Taste is harsh sour-ish mineraly, weeds, metal tank, yeast, bark, soil, sour-ish roasted grain, sour grass, paper, tobacco, burnt toast. Medium bitterness, harsh sour-ish metallic mouthfeel. Drainpour.

200ml draught at Tromsø Mikrobryggeri. Deep black body under a tiny fawn coloured head, spotty lacing. Inviting aromas of earthy chocolate malts, lightly roasted. Malt-forward taste of creamy chocolate, earth, and a hints of coffee. Lightly roasted malty end, doughy. Quite okay. (Tromsø, 31.10.2024).
