An English pale golden ale. The use of East Kent Golding hops give a fresh, earthy hoppy aroma with hints of honey and a long refreshing finish. Flaxen is an easy drinking session ale and a great complement to chicken, white fish dishes and even Indian curries. Best enjoyed with friends on long summer days and evenings.

Cask @ Bank of Conwy. Pours clear gold, white topping. Aroma of cereal malt. Pillowy soft on the palate, cereal pale malt, soft floral notes but ultimately very light.

Cask (gravity) @ 32th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2015, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England. [ As Hophurst Flaxen ].Clear medium orange colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, earthy, apple. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, apple, sharp, yeast, chlorine notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20151205] 5-3-4-3-8

From cask at Jushua Brooks, Manchester, with KL and LH 09.05.15. Clear pale golden. Slightly uneven, but persistent, off-white head and lacing. Refreshing aroma of fresh English hops, grass and flowerfield. Similar taste, with grains and pale malt. Very quaffable!

Pendle Beer Festival. Golden-blonde with a small bubbly head. Has a bitter-malt aroma and taste.
