330ml can. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a very short-lived, fizzy tan head. The aroma is roasty, light sweet caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a light, watery, roasty, liqourice bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with lively carbonation. Hugely disappointing. Light watery and fizzy. Everything a proper stout should not be.

330ml panda from LCB, Colab with Siren. Dark brown pour with small beige top. Aroma of dark malt, caramel, hint of fruit cake, chocolate. Taste starts with malt, chocolate, coffee and then a yeast and berry light tart middle with a growing dryness. Finish is semi-roasty with modest bitterness. Medium bodied, slick.

Keg @ Nightjar, Hebden Bridge. Black with a light-brown head. Solid stout with a crisp keg pour. Maybe slightly understated roasted malts but its smoothness and mouthfeel are good.
