Half pint from the cask at The Benllech, Benllech, Anglesey. Pours a clear amber with a white head. Aromas & tastes of light citrus, hints of spice, earth & hops. Moderate body. Light bitter finish. Enjoyable

Cask at the Black Horse, Preston. Pours just-clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of light tropical fruit and pine. Taste is more of the same. Light bitter finish.

Cask at Bakers Vaults, Stockport. Pours golden amber with a small off-white head. Just some hops in the aroma – but they are fairly powerful ones. In the mouth it is juicy with a slight bitterness. Hops are the mainstay again in the mouth, plus oranges, citrus and some hints of malts. Later on some traces of ginger as well leading to a juicy and slightly dry finish. This is decent – though I would say it is more of a bitter than a pale ale.

Stockport Beer Festival 2014. Clear golden in colour. Easy hoppy effort, with the hop providing a mild grittiness to proceedings.
