Panda from LCB. Pours a dark brown with decent beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, stewed apple, sugars. Taste is quite sweet, dark malts having only a light roast hint, stewed apple and spice come through well, some cocoa in the finish; mild bitterness. Medium bodied, fine carbonation. Good sweet stout.

Handpull cask at Bacchus, Newcastle. Mid- to dark brown, a little bit translucent witha full beige/khaki head. Appley aroma, some floral notes, a little artificial and weird but still pleasant. Bittersweet taste, more apple here which fades into a gentle hoppy bitterness. Smooth body, soft carbonation. Was hoping for more but still good.

First 'wow' beer of the day. Slightly too sweet but otherwise the perfect alcoholic apple pie with all the trimmings

Skipton Beer Festival 2024. Black-brown in colour. Denser-dark malt brew. The traditional stout experience is replaced by plenty of pastry and dominant apple flavours, so it is very much what it says on the tin. Sweet within its style, with a similar aroma to the aforementioned.
