Can from Appellation Wines. Pours clear amber brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of toffee and faint smoke. Taste adds chocolate and something metallic. Bready finish.

Can from Against The Grain. Dark brown body with no head or lacing. Lively carbonation. Aroma of treacle and toffee. Flavour of rust and earthy malt. Thin to medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. This is just ok and not as nice as I had hoped.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - deep brown with orange chinks. Beige, foamy head. Nose - brown bread, cocoa, chocolate cereal and toffee. Taste - toffee, chocolate and brown bread, almost Jamaica cake. Palate - medium bodied, lightly creamy middle but mainly roasty through the finish. Overall - lovely stuff! Proper near!
