Draft at the source. Dark brown with a creamy, beige head. Aroma of caramel and cough syrup. Taste is mildly bittersweet with a cloying medicinal undertone. Mild roasted notes keep things from getting too out of control. Medium body—watery texture.

(draught at the brewpub) Slightly hazy, deep golden colour with a firm mid-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet and slightly worty and biscuity malty nose with a whiff of herbal hops in the background. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied, soft carbonation. Robust malty taste with notes of biscuits, bread and wort; the initial sweetness dries out a little bit towards the sweet-bitter finish with notes of alcohol and a delicate hops character. Not perfectly balanced, nor matured but still drinkable pale Bock. 04.V.10
