Bottle from the brewery. Nutty brown with a full head. Aroma of wood and plum. Flavour has a hint of smokiness, roast malt and wood, fruity dry finish.

500ml bottle at home. Pours dark red, almost brownish, thick off white head. Muted aroma of caramel, raisins, plums, floral hops. Flavour is slightly sour dark fruit, caramel, not getting any smokiness or sweet malt here. Malty and sour finish. Not what I expected, cross between an Irish Red Ale and maybe a Flemish Oud Bruin.

From the bottle. Dark red with a voluminous foamy head that slowly settles. Aroma is quite smoky with mild herbal and caramel notes. Taste is mildly sweet with the only bitterness coming from the the smokiness. Body is quite light, too light for my liking with this one, texture trends watery. Okay but lacks oomph.
