The original Orange Whisper was inspired by a few of the first barrels in our cellar that exhibited distinct orange aromas. To re-imagine this beer two years later, we turned to a Norwegian yeast strain that is known to develop orange notes when fermenting. We finished the beer using our other house strains and then dry hopped it using two of the orangiest hops we could find.
The result is Orange Whisper: a beer which contains no oranges!

2019 edition. Pours a hazy golden colour with a big white frothy head, bubbly, somewhat creamy with decent retention and some dirty lacing. Sour nose with vinegar notes and oranges balancing things. The taste is full sour with the orange notes getting lost. Wish the hops had been a little stronger. Peach hints. Then, oranges seem to come out lingering after the finish. Still, one of their easier one to drink so far.

(On tap @ Birreria Volo, Toronto, Jan 19/18) Hazy gold with a white ring. Notes of ripe fruity hops, fuzzy peach candy, mango, melon, tangerine, leafy, super juicy on the tongue, light tart, fruit peels, lovely hop character, low bitterness. Medium bodied, slightly below average carbonation. Fantastic hopping played well with the base beer, this is one I could've drank a lot more of, just lacking some ultimate concentration in the finish to vault it into the top echelon.

A hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, superb mix of tart apricot and resinous mosaic hops, light cork, light Brett, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light resinous floral hops, tart apricot, Brett, very nice and complex. On tap at brewery.
