Enjoyed at the brewpub in Ottawa. This time, it is a 11.3% ABV. version. Pours a dark brown colour with a mocha-coloured head and some decent creamy lace. The mouthfeel is smooth and alcohol well-hidden. Roasted malt taste with some liquorice bite, hints of dark fruits - even cherries. Seems like some chemical bitterness, but nothing too offensive. Aromas of dark fruits, chocolate, roasted malts and hops. Not bad at all, except the hops which gives out light plastic notes.

A deep dark reddish brown stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, cloying sweet fruity chocolate malt with loads of solvent, dark cherry, cough drops, not very good. In mouth, sweet fruity chocolate malt with loads of caramel solvent malt balls, licorice, alcohol warmth, very cloying and chemical. Not good. On tap at Ottawa location.
